Cleaning Our Blinds With Scrubbing Bubbles

Lynn cleans her faux-wood blinds without taking them down, spraying Scrubbing Bubbles right onto the slats while they hang and wiping them off with paper towels and a hot-water cloth. She is after the same result as the bathtub-soak method without pulling down hardware and putting it all back. She shows the dirty half and the cleaned half of the same blind side by side.
What Lynn shows you
- She sprays the Scrubbing Bubbles straight onto the hanging blind and lets it sit "about 10 to 15 minutes" before wiping.
- Paper towels first, then a second pass with a washcloth and plain hot water to get the cleaner residue off.
- It drips. She works over hardwood so she can wipe it up; on carpet she says lay a towel down before you start.
- Her blinds are vinyl that looks like wood. She says she does not know whether it works on thin plastic blinds because she has none to test.
- If they are heavily dusted, run the vacuum over them first, and hold each slat with your hand as you wipe so it does not flop around.
