A Three-Ingredient DIY Stain Remover

Lynn mixes a three-ingredient laundry stain paste from blue Dawn, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide, then scrubs it into stains with an old toothbrush. She tests it on sausage grease spots she picked up camping, on a shirt she has had seven or eight years, and washes it once to show whether it came out.
What Lynn shows you
- Three things: blue Dawn dish soap, plain baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide, mixed until it looks "almost like a toothpaste."
- She uses about a teaspoon of each. The peroxide version is what she reaches for on whites, sheets, pillowcases, and cream-colored fabric.
- On dark or brightly colored clothes she swaps the peroxide for plain filtered water so she does not risk a faded spot.
- She applies it with an old toothbrush and scrubs the stain directly, then washes as normal.
- Make a bigger batch and it keeps in a small container. She mentions saving it in a baby food jar for whenever you need it.
